The graphic should remain yours to change.
Motion design involves many revisions: wording, layout, timing and the last detail in a finished edit. carvercat’s direction is to keep those decisions in an editable composition, with a dedicated authoring workspace and Fusion as the principal destination.
Complement the place you finish.
Resolve’s Fusion workspace is powerful. carvercat aims to make supported motion-graphics authoring more approachable without requiring the node graph to be constructed by hand. The delivered graph remains a destination composition whose actual editability and appearance must be inspected.
The initial app complements editing and compositing tools. It is not presented as a replacement for all illustration, photo editing, compositing or editing software.
Human and agent editing share a source.
Create visually or use local MCP with a compatible client. Agent assistance should produce work you can inspect, revise and continue yourself. Keeping clear scope, fresh state and a deliberate handoff matters more than a prompt-to-picture spectacle.
A native vector foundation.
The editor and local Fusion generator use Rust. The GPU-accelerated canvas runs the app’s own preview/rendering engine. Resolve interaction includes Python. Essential vector tools lead; raster expansion is being explored as that foundation matures.
Free app. Private source.
Local app use, MCP integration and editable Fusion delivery are included at no charge within supported scope. The source remains private. Optional AI services can have separate charges. No Carvercat account or hosted compiler is required for local workflows.
An evolving development project.
Internal Pre-alpha 0.0.1 is the reported website foundation identity. Reviewed Alpha distribution is planned, with platform/Resolve/client scope still to be qualified. This website shares intended workflows and development guides without claiming a public package, universal compatibility or a launch date.
