Learn / Development guide

Build the elements of your graphic.

Create editable text, shapes and paths, then check appearance, media dependencies and timing in the intended comp.

Create, select, inspect.

  1. Open the intended comp and move to the starting frame.
  2. Choose a supported text/shape tool or a Library starting item.
  3. Create the object and confirm selection and clip timing.
  4. Set content, appearance and transform where applicable.
  5. Inspect at output scale, then save.

Position moves an object. Anchor chooses the rotation/scale pivot. Apply Scale is a geometry operation, not simply resetting a percentage.

Text is more than a family name.

Revise wording, font face/style and available typography controls. Inspect the actual resolved face. Font changes can alter wrapping, spacing and bounds; longer wording can change the animation’s appearance.

After refreshing available fonts, check the selected face again. A locally available font is not automatically available in a destination or licensed for redistribution. Test the languages and shaping your project needs.

Shape geometry and appearance separately.

Shapes expose applicable fill, stroke and transform controls. Paths expose points and spatial handles. Spatial handles shape geometry; temporal handles shape motion over time.

  • Compound paths hold contours and holes. Releasing them can fill former holes.
  • Editable Boolean operations retain their operands; inspect resulting contours.
  • Animated paths require consistent point/contour topology.
  • Inspect the actual result after an operation and Undo when it differs from intent.

Choose effects that apply to the object.

Add from the available effects for the selected object. Reorder, bypass and remove are distinct actions. Promoting a parameter does not enable its effect. Object motion blur is not optical-flow footage interpolation.

Effects can be source-reviewed internally without being qualified for every destination. Read the specific feature and output scope before advertising or relying on Fusion parity.

Keep original media accessible.

Import image, video or audio using the supported route. Extension alone does not establish codec/profile support on a machine. Check decoding, dimensions, timing and audio in the actual candidate.

A preview proxy is a smaller editing representation. It does not replace the original source for output. Check operation status before repeatedly starting proxy work, and preserve source files when removing a proxy.

Understand what the starting item does.

ItemWhat to inspect
PrimitiveCreates an editable object
TemplatePlaces reusable content; pending placement may need Apply
Animation presetChanges selected-object animation; may affect existing keys
Asset slotRequests matching media; unresolved content can block delivery

Bundled items and their distribution rights will be identified with reviewed releases. Website category illustrations do not promise a particular catalogue size.
