Carvercat is a native app written in Rust, and it draws and renders on your GPU. No minimum GPU is stated yet. Mac installs should run from Applications.

Setup steps are on the Delivery page. You can export rendered files for any editor without installing one.
AI clients are optional.
You do not need an AI client to use carvercat. If you want one, carvercat’s local MCP lets compatible AI agents edit the same project you work on. The MCP is free; your AI client may have its own costs.
Check the content you actually use.
- Font availability, style, wrapping and language shaping.
- Image dimensions, transparency and colour.
- Video/audio container, codec, rate, duration and alignment.
- Path, effect and animation support in editable Fusion output.
- Original media and proxy files.
A file extension alone does not guarantee import or export. Test with your real content and check the result.
Local processing.
carvercat processes and renders your projects on your own computer. No online service or carvercat account is involved. If something does not work on your setup, tell us your OS, carvercat version and editor version (Resolve or After Effects) or AI client.
