Make two variants and edit with an agent.
Use one shared source, change exposed instance values, revert on purpose and keep a manual edit during agent handoff.
- Start with a saved source.
- Expose useful controls.
- Make two versions from one source.
- Read first, change one thing.
- Keep a human edit.
- Check saving and delivery separately.
Start with a saved source.
Use a saved copy of the lower-third exercise. For the agent part, connect any compatible AI client through carvercat’s local MCP. Keep the original and treat the copy as practice.
Expose useful controls.
- Choose the wording and colour parameters a variation should change.
- Promote each from Basement to the object’s Controls.
- Raise them through any containing Groups and onto the comp.
- Name the controls Name, Role and Panel colour.
- Check the exposed controls before placing instances.
Make two versions from one source.
- Create a parent comp and place the source twice, with enough time to see each.
- Set a different Name on each instance.
- Enter the shared source and change a property neither instance overrides.
- Return to the parent and check both: the shared change reaches both, and the names stay different.
- Revert one name override and confirm it follows the source.
- Save, reopen and check again.
Read first, change one thing.
- Open the project yourself and connect your AI client.
- Ask the agent to identify both instances and the shared controls without editing.
- Ask it to change only one Role, then stop.
- Check both instances to confirm the other one did not change.
Read the current project and identify the two lower-third instances. Do not edit yet. Explain which controls are shared and which are instance overrides.
Keep a human edit.
Change some wording by hand. Ask the agent to reread and report that change before editing anything else. It should keep your newer wording rather than replay old state. Ask it to stop after the next small edit.
Expected: one editable project throughout, with clear source and instance scope, and a clean handover between you and the agent.
Check saving and delivery separately.
Save and reopen a test copy, then check the source, overrides and animation. Export or send only after reviewing method, range and destination. After an uncertain edit or send, check before retrying.
